Since my newly painted pink piano sits in our family room, I wanted to try something new this year when putting up the tree that would not only coordinate well with this bright hue but also get out of my comfort zone a bit.

I’ve always had a simple real tree with traditional reds and white with my kids’ ornaments that I still absolutely adore but it would clash in here now. That tree will stay in our family room, where it’s been for the past 8 years since we bought our childhood home.
