Simple Christmas Vignette
You don’t need to deck eVERY hall of your home for it to feel festive… we’ve rounded up a handful of Simple Christmas Vignette’s we’ve created over the years to add the perfect touch of christmas in ANY space!
Let’s be honest, putting up then decorating your Christmas tree alone is a lot of work… hanging garland or ribbon, adding ornaments spaced just so, putting on the tree topper, etc. No need to fret about adding Christmas in every inch of your spaces to make your home festive, simply adding a vignette or two and call it good! Depending on what area of the house it’s in, vignettes (a small cluster of decor that creates a focal point) can really pull in the festive Christmas vibe without adding extra fluff surrounding it. Simple Christmas Vignette IDEAS
We love vignettes because they are an easy way to bring charm, character, and life to any space. Gathered items can be trendy, new, old, or simply whatever you like! In this vignette, (blog post with full details here,) we found an old hanging scale but removed the scale and left the form to act as a tray. Trays are a great way to We simply paired it with painted houses (our similar DIY here) a few bargain ornaments, paired with gorgeous glass ornaments to make it pop, and a cute little deer figurine. Easy peasy!
Adding a piece of art, like our Printable Candy Cane Co art, is a great way to fill a space and add instant Christmas for little money. We paired it with a wooden garland, bottle brush trees, reused the same deer figurine, and an old sled. This house doesn’t have a mantel so a vignette is a great alternative!
- Wooden Garland (or make one with our easy DIY)
- Bottle Brush Trees
- Deer Figurine
- Replicated vintage sled
Vignettes can go in any room of your home and the coffee table is a great solution if you don’t have a mantel or are short on space. This vignette is only has a few items but makes a big punch! We paired a set of DIY Deconstructed Books with a beaded garland, another bottle brush tree, a horse figurine, then topped it off with a Christmas scented candle. So simple and the best part is the candle and garland are evergreen decor so replace the tree with a faux plant and this vignette can stay year round!
- DIY Deconstructed Books
- Wooden Garland (or make one with our easy DIY)
- Bottle Brush Trees
- Wooden Horse Figurine
- Christmas scented candle
Vignettes don’t need to be elaborate… a trio of trees adds instant Christmas without going overboard! You can DIY our Sweater Trees or snag a similar version here.
Another day, another sled! This simple vignette has a sled, various Christmas trees, and a festive sign. You can really make any decor work!
- Vintage Replicated Sled
- Christmas Rrees (bottle brush)
- Christmas Tree (mini burlap)
- Christmas Sign (made by yours truly!)
This is probably our easiest vignette to to date. A frosted garland + white ceramic trees (small + large) set on top of the dining room table. Makes for a great centerpiece, too!
How cute are these birch trees?! Perfect for a vignette, a shelf, on a mantel, or anywhere in your home! Paired with tin trees and a rustic red reindeer? Cutest.
Our last vignette is literally pinecones in a bowl… and some berries for a pop of color. Making festive spaces doesn’t need to be complicated… or just indoors! This is on my front porch and I love it. We always suggest shopping your house first, the outdoors, and then retail. 🙂
Hope you’ve enjoyed our roundup of our own vignettes over the years and are inspired to make your own! We would LOVE to see it and share, be sure to tag us on social media @lollyjaneblog!
