We moved into our new home this past winter when I was 7 months pregnant and in full nesting mode. Because I had to unpack, organize, situate our 2 young sons in their new space and decorate the nursery, my front patio area had been on the back burner until now. I am outgrowing that sweet but needy newborn stage and the weather here in Arizona is simply gorgeous so I’ve been able to bundle my baby in her wrap and get to work refreshing my porch for spring!
I started by painting my black door a soft mint hue which immediately brightened the space. Now it was time to shop to spruce it up!
One of my favorite stores to browse and gain inspiration is At Home. They have decor for every room, space or nook and cranny of your home; there are always super affordable and unique finds there that are always on trend. If you missed our Snapchat sesh a few days ago while we were shopping in the Patio + Garden section and shared sneak peeks, let me introduce you to the inspiration for my refreshed space that started it all… a black hanging basket.
It has a little slot that you could put a monogrammed letter or house number in but I took the opportunity to stylishly tell solicitors they’re not welcome on my porch! 😉
Can you even believe how gorgeous these large paper flowers are?
They add a fun pop of color against the black basket. At Home has a huge selection of other faux florals in almost any variety or color. I wanted to buy all of the flowers but instead settled on this simple white planter.
It was a total steal and, filled with fresh flowers, is a great touch to bring some earthly elements to soften the look of the stucco Craftsman style home.
Whether you’re looking for your own patio decor, decorating for spring, preparing for outdoor entertaining, or searching for the perfect piece to compliment your garden, At Home Patio has everything you need with their fun outdoor decor collections! Please pin so your friend’s can get some great ideas too!
