Spring Decor: Decorating with Tulips
Tulips are the staple of spring decor, and these are the most realistic feel-real but faux stems I’ve ever seen!🌷
Spring is sprung here in Arizona and we are loving the rising temperatures. Flowers are blooming, the grass is green, the kids have been loving playing outside which means my inside is staying cleaner, longer
It’s the perfect time of year to have guests over for a barbecue, invite the neighbors over to enjoy the backyard. While they’re walking through the house or using the restroom, decorate the dining room table with a few bunches of tulips to welcome them in.
It doesn’t take but a few minutes to pull together this look. You’ll feel cheerful all day long!

shop your house first
Our favorite tip when it comes to decorating is shopping the house. We love to look around our home before we head to the store. These tulips were left over from last year’s spring mantel, for instance.
To decorate our 10′ table, we started in the garage and found loads of use terracotta pots. They’re an inexpensive pot that looks good as is, painted or even decoupaged. Plus any flower/plant looks good in them. We grabbed all the raw ones and laid them out on the table.
the power of three
We started with a focal pot to create the center point of the spring table scape. This gray pot was hanging out in my pantry with a fake plant in it, waiting for attention.
It’s neutral so it matches the other pots so they all blend seamlessly.
Then I layered the the remaining pots on both sides of the focal pot, in groups of three.
Tip: use the pot bases to create height by stacking them.
FAKE FLOWERS
Did we trick you? Could you tell these tulips were faux?
There are loads of pretty fake flowers and greens that pass as the real thing, these days.
Our favorite part is they’re low maintenance to store plus they won’t shrivel up and die.
Favorite sources for faux flowers are AFloral, Amazon or Kirklands. Walmart has stepped it up too.
Fill your flowers in the pots and let them hang in all directions for a natural look.
