DIY: Medical Fabric Face Masks

We use face masks for doing yard work and for woodworking, they’re so helpful to keep dirt and debris out of our mouths. With the current virus affecting so many, we’re unable to grab our usual masks from the home improvement store so our sister made us some hand sewn masks. They’re exactly what we needed, they fit well and they’re reusable.

Heads up: We got a lot of heat for sharing our sister’s fabric masks, originally. People assumed we were saying they’re good protection against colds and viruses. We’d never make that claim, we’re not medical professionals.

Regardless, we still had some nasty DM’s on Instagram…one woman even said, “Shame on you encouraging people to spend money on something like this, what a waste of money. People should be saving their money at a time like this.”

However, within 24 hours, there was a national call for handmade masks so we weren’t that far off, afterall ?
