Simple Fall Tablescape

DIY· Fall/Autumn· Holiday

14 Oct

We are so excited to be a part of Not Just A Housewife‘s fun series, Styled 3x, today! Yay!

Basically Stacy of NJAH sends 2 other bloggers a product and we all style it to our liking then share and compare! We were lucky to get this cute IKEA planter and lemme tell ya, they are all styled just darling! (Check out Kelly of Live Laugh Rowe’s here and Stacy’s here. Pretty, right?)

To make ours we just distressed the planter then added pumpkins in. Easy as pie.

We just sanded the corners and on the front a bit with 22o grit sandpaper to get the white paint off of the edges.

To give the edges some color we used our BB Frosch dark wax….

….then lightened up some of the excess with our BB Frosch clear wax.

Ah, much better!

We set faux pumpkins inside after putting the planter back on the cute wooden feet that come with it then added an orange gourd. (You thought that was an orange pumpkin, didn’t you? LOL!)

We snagged these cute acorns in the Dollar Spot at Target (I could spend all day in that area!) then spread them around the planter to give it a fall look.

My cute 3-year old was my styling buddy and added a little fawn inside…. I think I like her in there! 😉

Love it, ladies!! I had thought about sanding mine too (but I chickened out). The wax added a perfectly rustic look too. Happy we were all a part of the challenge together. HUGS!

I love it distressed! And I love that you let your little helper style it with you 🙂
