intelliBED mattress review + unique offer
We had the same mattress for 12 years. Pretty sure we broke the rule about getting a new mattress per decade, whoops! That old mattress housed memories of our whole marriage as we bought in Utah at a warehouse sale. It was a stretch at $400 for us, being a newly engaged couple but it retailed for $1200 new. We scrimped and saved and hauled that heavy sucker around Utah to Arizona then through 9 other moves. It was the comforter for nightmares for our kiddos, the spot to cuddle on during movie nights but eventually it saw better days as it went through 4 potty training babies over the decade. As much as we loved the mattress for comfort, it killed my husband’s lower back. I guess you really do get what you pay for… pain in exchange for a “good deal.” We’re SO SUPER EXCITED to help YOU get your mattress before another decade passes with sleeping regrets! And if you get it in the month of August, we have some pretty sweet bonuses for you!! Read on for all the amazing details!
When we were introduced to IntelliBED, we loved the concept of their Gel Matrix technology. It hit three key ingredients to healthy sleep: good posture support, pressure point relief and a healthy and safe sleep environment. Bonus: it’s USA made and ironically, in Salt Lake City of all places. They started in 2000 and we were married in 2002.. how did we miss that!? We could have avoided years of damage to my husbands back, darn it.
Let’s talk about the importance of sleep. My second son has mild dyslexia and has been recently diagnosed with ADHD. Now, he’s not a “naughty” boy who is in constant trouble at home or with teachers. He simply can’t concentrate for very long which leads to a whole lot of daydreaming. After hunting down a really good child psychologist, we learned a lot of his behavior is based on lack of REM sleep. If he can hit that deep sleep, he’s better rested and his brain is able to function better.
He just got braces put on for the same reason. Braces are related to ADHD, you ask? That is a whole ‘nother conversation for another day but simply put, yes. His doc is working on pulling his jaw forward to open his airway to promote deep sleep. A good mattress and deep sleep = a well rested brain which increases his brain’s ability to concentrate better.
Are you understanding just how important deep sleep is yet? I stay up late sitting cross-legged on my couch, blogging. By hour two, my body is yelling at me to move to a better spot and stretch out a bit. Another one of my favorite spots to write is at my dining room table on my wood antique chair. After an hour, I can feel that familiar ache in my lower back. Ironically, a good night’s sleep can “heal” that ache as the mattress has medical-grade cushioning technology (designed by sleep scientists) to offer equal parts support and comfort.
I love a soft mattress but my husband prefers it firm. The Gel Matrix is three times firmer than typical foam mattresses but ironically, it’s soft and it relieves pressure better than any other mattress out there. We’ve had this mattress for two years now. For the first few weeks, my husband instantly loved the IntelliBED while I complained that it was too hard. I called in and asked for advice and it was suggested that he and I switch places for a few nights. That trick worked as his heavier weight “broke in” my side of the bed which softened it for me. We now both enjoy the balance of firmness that supports our backs but adds a softness to comfort our hips and shoulders.
If you’re a germaphobe, brace yourself: Your mattress likely houses toxins which are harmful to you, your kids and even your pets, (if you’re like me and let your dog nap on your bed). Most mattresses will settle and release an “off-gas” as time goes by. It ages your mattress and releases toxins into the air and even your body. Yikes. Read more about mattress toxins to see if you’re at risk.
We could go on and on sharing way the IntelliBED really is the best out there. If you’re reading this, it’s likely you already suspect that and are looking for another nudge as to why you should try it. If you’re a longtime Lolly reader, you know we only promote things we can fully support and IntelliBED is on that list.
You can order an IntelliBED mattress online but calling one of their sleep consultants is a great way to get more information and place your order quickly. Enter LOLLYJANE as a promo code in the shopping cart to get your freebies. Don’t panic, the cart won’t show the Cameo 3 pop-up in the cart BUT it will still be shipped to you, pinky promise. But BE SURE to use LOLLYJANE to get that pretty little cutting tool!
Remember, Intellibed is the only bed that allows the bed to be 100% firm AND 100% soft, thanks to magic. Just kidding, but it’s practically magic because it’s Gel Matrix so it’s basically the same thing. This also means their products are the only “no compromise” bed: firm lovers still get support and softies (like me!) love the cushioning effect of the gel.

The new striped duvet linens are super comfy!
I still love our little M pillow from Shutterfly and scored the long pillow from Marshalls for $19.99.

Thanks for sharing all the info about mattresses and toxins, I’ve never heard of that before. What do you think about bamboo sheets? I recently switched over as well and they’ve kept me cool all summer.
Glad to hear! They’re so comfy!
Your comments about sitting cross legged on the couch in the eves blogging really hit home. Concentrating on what I am doing the time passes and its usually a sore back or hip that yells at me to get up and move.
It was nice to know I am not the only one with these habits. A good comfortable sleep certainly does make all the difference.
Mine has already 12 year but I think is time to change, I need a new matress soon. Thanks for posting at http://www.fabifabu.com/2017/07/30/inspiration-galore-project-party-44/ See you next week.
