pretty glittery gold tipped pinwheels
I love my summer pinwheels so much that I thought I’d make a more mature looking set. I’m loving these gold tipped pinwheels, white + gold is so clean! Glitter + gold = glam. I love that word glam, but don’t consider much of my house glam style, lol! I love color & eclectic and vintage and rustic and lots of aqua and definitely chippiness. So I’ve determined I don’t have a definitive style, pretty much!
So easy to make your own! You’ll need 1 sheet of white card stock, 3 buttons, gold paint paint, gold glitter, painters tape 3 dowels.
Just cut 3 squares from your standard card stock, about 5″ in size. Cut 3″ slits from each corner into the middle, leaving the middle in tact. Bend each right corner into the middle and hot glue on top of each other. Hot glue a gold button in the center to top it off. Tape off the edges 1/2 from the tip with painters tape. Use Lemon Drop colored glitter paint to fill in the edges.
While the paint is still wet, sprinkle gold glitter on the tips.
Peel off the tape while it’s wet.
Very easy and you just might have everything in your craft stash! I hot glued shish kabob skewers to the backside to keep a natural stick instead of the fun purple polka dot straws I used for my summer version.
Now that you’re done, just find a place to stick ’em!
How about that pretty gold mirrored tray from Grandwill? (;
