Bunting bundt cake

What a fun cake we made using Lifestyles eyelet ovals & nesting frame to celebrate our brothers anniversary tonight… when they got married they were told to celebrate the birthday of their wedding.  Cute!  We love our little Bunting bundt cake!
To make the bunting we punched the die cuts, folded over, taped closed and strung on a sheer ribbon, tying both ends in bows on skewers.  Add a quick tag using another cute die cut, emboss the wording and you’re set:

We were able to make the bunting while the bundt cake was baking… er, microwaving! How’s THAT for multi-tasking? 😉
We promise this is the EASIEST cake you will ever make!
9 Minute Soda Cake recipe:

Ingredients:
1 box of cake mix + (1) 12 oz. can of soda… ummm yes, that is ALL!  We used vanilla mix with diet Dr. Pepper.  Mmmm…. 🙂

{TIP: If using white mix, pair with Sprite/light soda & if using chocolate mix, pair with Coke/dark soda. And yep, diet is ok!}

Directions:
1. Using Tupperware’s 3 qt. Stack Cooker, lightly Pam the cooker & the cone.
2. Mix soda/cake mix directly in bowl after putting cone in place.
3. Bake for 9 minutes in microwave.
4. Let cool for 10 minutes then remove to cake platter.

Frosting:
1/2 lb of *C&H pure cane powdered sugar
1/8 cup lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 stick butter

SO simple yet SO moist 🙂
*Note: I halved the recipe on the back of the C&H powered sugar box for the frosting and used it as a glaze by dripping it over the top of the cake while it was still warm, {but after placing it on the cake platter.}
