Spring Easter egg sign decor

We are so ready for spring!!  Although AZ doesn’t get as cold as the rest of the country, we’re ready for the higher temps and our littles have already started swimming this week in honor of spring break!  Crazy kiddos!  And since it’s the 10th day of the month, we’ve gathered our creative blogging friends, and we came up with a PASTEL theme since SPRING is upon us! This is our 11th month with this collaboration…we had so much fun the past 10 months, we decided to take it another round. One friend needed to part ways, so we added the amazingly talented Chelsea from Two Twenty One to the mix. If you’ve missed the past ten months of fun, check them out, so much inspiration!  Today we’re adding a Spring Easter egg sign decor to the pastel mix, isn’t it fun??

We are huge Instagram users.  Know why?  Because we get to share our daily on goings and get to see your daily life just as easily.  We’ve become friends with cute gals who have similar style to ours and have gained inspiration from some of them too!  One of those gals is Katie from the cute etsy shop, Just Add Sunshine Inc.  She, like us, holds local craft nights and we spotted her adorable spring painted eggs at her most recent event.  Stinkin cute, we had to make our own version.  Visit our fellow friend’s pastel projects then read on for our full tutorial how to make your own cute egg.  Get into spring mode with PASTELS!

Directions:

  • Paint the wood with chalky finish paint (or multi-use, we didn’t have any on hand so went with chalky for a quick 1 coat finish)
  • Apply the egg stencil, (peel our the chevron temporarily) paint inside the egg white.
  • Apply the chevron stencil, paint inside the stencil blue.

Yes, it’s that easy!

  2. I think this egg sign is the cutest thing I’ve seen for Easter so far this year! I’m obsessed with coral and turquoise right now, and this is so close to the colors I’ve been using for everything! {I just posted on my FB page last night about how I picked out a new color scheme for my office, and this VERY close to these colors!} So cute!
