DIY Beverage Station
We snagged the metallic gold spray paint, a shower handle, 4 furniture casters, and painters tape on our trip to buy wood.
We then taped off the wheels of the casters and sprayed ALL the things gold! Just kidding, only a few things: shower handle, casters, and pail.
While we were waiting for that to dry (love this time of year when our spray paint dries before we can get a second coat on it, haha!) we cut down a decorative piece of trim that will fit along the top portion of the beverage station.
So here is our naked little bevy station ready to be dressed up for some summer fun!
To make our cart more unique to us, we added some decorative metal sheeting found in the lumber department, and simple screwed 4 sides of the sheeting directly over the sides of the station.
We used a pretty aqua spray paint and gave our cart 2 light coats.
Once dry, we used our brad nailer and added the trim. It really polishes it off, don’t you think?
Next, because we entertain both inside and out, we screwed in some casters so we would be able to push the cart where we wanted it.
We found a vintage bottle opener and gave it a matching fresh coat of gold. Pretty!
Viola! That’s it! Paired with a “Sip! Sip! Hooray!” sign, this little beverage station is a great addition to our kitchen nook and is wonderful for small spaces.
We filled up the bucket (the ice did not leak through, even after 2 hours!) and set some citrus-y drinks inside. We added some fresh lemons to squeeze over the yummy bottled lemonades we have on ice.
The cute pineapple tray pairs perfectly with the fresh fruit theme we have going on the middle rack. Our DIY Cactus Stir Sticks are a fun addition to the space!
Love this gold bottle opener, makes opening a drink so quick!
The castes are so pretty in gold, don’t you think? We are suckers for gold and aqua so this was an easy color decision on our end, lol!
Tip: We found the shower handle (used for a grab bar) in the bathroom section and it was a lot more affordable than the towel holder which would have been too long, anyway. 😉
“Sip Sip, Hooray!”
