St. Patty’s pistachio cake

Food· St. Patrick's Day

17 Mar
Oooh la la!
Does this look YUMMY or what!
Hope you all enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day… with a slice of heavenpistachio cake!

Wanna make your own?
You’re in LUCK {har har} that we happen to have the recipe 😉

Ingredients:

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400*F.

Mix cake according to box directions.
{We used a vanilla mix}
Add a packet of pistachio pudding.
Mix until batter is green.

Put 1/3 of batter into a separate bowl.
Add 1/2 c. chocolate syrup {or more…  mmmm!}
Mix until all chocolatey 🙂

Pour both batters into bundt pan, alternating colors.
Blend the chocolate & pistachio to create heaven… erm, a marble-ish effect.

Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack.

Frost*
Sprinkle with pistachio nuts,
{we used pecans since our dad is a pecan harvester and they are always on hand!}
Serve chilled… it tastes better when it’s cold.
Eat & enjoy!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY 🙂

*Frosting instructions:
Stir CoolWhip until it is soft.
Add another packet of instant pistachio pudding.
Fold pudding mix into whip.
If “frosting” gets firm too quickly, simply add milk.
*Tip: Be sure to chill your bowl before mixing 😉

    That is so cool! I'm definitely going to try this (although I have really boring tastes, so I might make green vanilla instead of pistachio!). Thanks for sharing.

    Following you back. 🙂

    Oooh- this cake has all of the best things in it! Right when I saw it, before I even read what it was I thought to myself, "I have pistachio pudding in the cupboard, I should make that today…" but I should make this cake instead! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
