Quick 4th of July t-shirt using wax paper

Happy July!

Hard to believe the year is half over! Time is flying and the 4th of July is just a few days away and what my kiddo’s will be sporting all day recently popped into my mind.  Panic mode set in as I now live in a teeny town in northern Arizona, at least an hour away from the nearest shopping center.  A two hour drive roundtrip with a toddler and 2 month old is just not in my plans- I want to enjoy my 4th, right? 😉 LOL

I decided to applique a white onesie/t-shirt for my boys instead.  After a quick search on Pinterest for a wax paper transfer tutorial, {having wax paper on hand,} I came across this post by Unexpected Elegance.  She said it took around 10 minutes and that, my friends, was way more appealing to this busy momma than a quick roadtrip!  I quickly designed a patriotic image in Photoshop and followed her tutorial.  I ended up with this:

Pretty cute for less than an hours worth of work and no out of pocket cost!

If you would like to print one off and use it as your own applique on a onesie or t-shirt, feel free to use ours:

Hope you all have a happy 4th!
