Meet these Mormons

We’ve shared about our faith many times before.  We want you to know the blogger behind the blog.  We are Kristi & Kelli and we belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka “The Mormons”. (Read about our name here.) We are excited to team up with over 65+ bloggers… to extend an invitation to see a film. A film entitled “Meet The Mormons”. This film is not meant to be an “in your face” / you must join our church film. It is simply designed and produced to uplift and inspire you through six stories of those of our faith who have followed promptings to follow Christ more fully in their lives.

We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy this film. We hope your hearts are made light as you feel the goodness that comes from following our Christ and Savior. All proceeds from the film will be donated to The American Red Cross. So not only will you be uplifted and inspired, your money will be going to an amazing charity!!

We also would like to take a moment and share our personal testimonies, stories of our own personal conversions, and our own stories of how following our Savior, Jesus Christ has changed our lives. The light of the gospel of Jesus Christ offers a joy and hope that only following him can provide. We hope as you click through and read our stories and testimonies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you will feel uplifted and encouraged. We are by you! We love connecting with our readers, that is why many of us do what we do! Please be kind and considerate in your comments. It takes great bravery for us to open our hearts and our mouths to share with you such a tender and personal part of who we are. We share because we feel strongly the need to share the peace and the hope that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Two years ago we shared why so many of your fav bloggers are Mormons with about 30 blog friends.  We truly appreciated the comments from non-LDS members.  The mutual respect and support brought us to tears.  It’s definitely scary to put yourself out there when it’s not a pretty craft, a safe post that gets little negativity.  In all honesty, we’ve only had a handful of negative comments associated with our blog, and we’ve been blogging since 2009.

We want you to walk away from this post knowing that Kristi and Kelli from Lolly Jane have a testimony of Jesus Christ.  We love Him.  We are grateful to our Heavenly Father for this life.  We know that God loves EACH of his children.  He knows your struggles.  He shares your happiness.  He shares your sadness.  He wants you to turn to Him for comfort, peace, questions, concerns, to repent, to give thanks, to trust Him.  We KNOW this.  We have received confirmation from the Holy Ghost that He is real.  We cannot deny Him.  We know that life is hard.  There are trials.  Deaths.  Divorce.  Mental health.  Sickness.  Suffering.  Life isn’t fair.  It’s not easy.  But if you trust Him, you CAN get through it.

These last two weeks have been hard for us, to watch our good friend bury her baby girl.  They were starting a new chapter of their life.  They were getting ready to move to another state for a new  job.  Their sweet 7 year old daughter London was killed during the packing up process.  It’s not fair.  Minutes before they were excited for their new journey, my friend and her husband and their 4 beautiful daughters.  And within seconds, they were overcome with despair, sadness and grief.

Just days later, at London’s service, her dad Chris spoke to the hundreds of people gathered to say goodbye at the church.  He brought comfort to those crying in the crowd.  He bore his testimony that he would see London again.  That she was doing work for the Lord and she was waiting for them to join her one day.  He had hope.  And peace.  He was very open about saying he chose the Lord.  That he knew if he and his wife stayed close to Him, they would feel London near.  It’s so hard for the living to lose a loved one, especially in a tragic way.  Christ knows your pain.  He is willing to help carry your burden.

It’s amazing.  He is amazing. Heavenly Father sent His son to die for us.  And you.  He wants to live with you again.  He wants you to be happy.  And for that we are so grateful.  In the fav Mormon bloggers post, we extended an offer to send you a packet of  our collective testimonies and a  free Book of Mormon.  That offer still stands.  You’re under no pressure to read it and you don’t have to attend our church services, or get baptized, or have 9 kids like our saintly mother (; What you do with it is entirely up to you, we just want you to have it.  And if you’re worried that we’ll use your info to send missionaries to your home, we won’t.  Promise! You get the packet + The Book of Mormon, that’s it.  No strings attached.  E-mail us at [email protected] if you are interested in learning more about many of your favorite bloggers and why we are Mormon. Of course you are under no obligation to read it… or attend our church services, or get baptized or have 9 kids like our saintly mother (; What you do with it is entirely up to you, we just want you to have it.  And if you’re worried that we’ll use your info to send missionaries to your home, we won’t.  Promise! You get the packet + The Book of Mormon, that’s it.  No strings attached.  E-mail us at [email protected] if you are interested in learning more about many of your favorite bloggers and why we are Mormon.  xoxo

  1. What a fabulous post! I too am a Mormon and so happy to be! The story of London is tragic, but knowing that they will see her again makes all the difference. Sometimes things are hard to understand why, but if we trust in the Lord all will be o.k.!
Haven’t seen the movie yet, but can’t wait to!
    hugs,
    Jann

  2. Thanks a lot for sharing such a beautiful story!!!! I declare myself a Christian and love my relationship with God! But I have always been interested in learning more about you, “the Mormons.” I do respect you a lot, you are very bond together, besides being the best crafters I’ve known. I love scrapbooking and the best companies are in Utah! But above that I highly honor the fact that you send your kids abroad or away from you for two years, without having real contact with them!!! And all due your beliefs, that is something to praise about!
I just have a question, and I hope I won’t be disrespectful, but I have always wonder why you having such a good relationship with our Lord Jesus, celebrate Halloween???? It is not my intention to be polemic or to say that you are right or wrong, I just would love to know the reason, please.
Again thanks a lot for sharing so many great things on your blog, they are truly appreciated.
    God bless you!!!

    1. Hi Lili,

Thank you so much for your sweet words! We can tell you were very considerate in your writing and we so appreciate that!

We celebrate Halloween for the same reason most Americans do, it’s a fun kid-friendly holiday. We pass out candy, we dress the littles up like their favorite superhero or favorite movie character, we get together with family and have silly treats and bond with our neighbors while doing so.

To be honest, we’ve never questioned why we celebrate Halloween before your comment?? We don’t look at it like a Pagan holiday, a demonic celebration. We have fun with it and keep it wholesome.

Hope that helps! Sure are happy you’re here on Lolly Jane supporting each other as children of God!!

      XOXO, Kelli & Kristi (:
