Peanut Butter Oreo Cookie Bars

Hi! It’s Yvonne again from TriedandTasty.com and I’m bringing you another delicious recipe this month! Do you love peanut butter? If you do, then you’re in for a real treat! Add in OREO’s and you’ve got an over-the-top dessert that you will want to make immediately! Thank you Kelli & Kristi for having me here!Peanut Butter Oreo Cookie Bars // Tried and TastyI tell you what, peanut butter is my weakness. Seriously. I’d throw some ‘bows for anything peanut butter. When deciding what to share with you all, I wanted something that was quick & easy, didn’t require a lot of time in the kitchen and of course SUPER tasty! These cookie bars are all of the above and bonus: made in ONE bowl and no mixer needed! Grab the kids and bring them in to the kitchen for this recipe, they will love helping chop up the OREO cookies (as long as you can keep them from eating them all!).

While I primarily cook all things healthy & wonderful {grab my free eBook 10 Superfoods for Breakfast: Super Fast, Super Tasty, & Super Easy for some great ideas} I have a sweet tooth that occasionally needs satisfying. These cookie bars are more than enough to curb any hankering for something downright delicious. The only thing I would change would be for you to use a square 9 by 9 in. baking pan as opposed to the 8-in. square cake pan that I used. I mean look at those babies, they are a mile high of peanut-buttery-goodness! I can just about bet you probably have all the ingredients to make these on hand. Make them! You will LOVE them.. oh, and if you want to go the extra mile, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream right on top while they are still a little warm. #heavenhelpyou

  1. I baked up a batch of the p.butter/oreo cookie bars for the Rohnert Park (Sonoma County, CA) Home Depot Do It Herself Workshop ladies last night and they were a huge hit!!!!! Made mine a bit thinner in a 13″ pan…scrumptious. That recipe is a keeper. Thanks LJ.
