Chocolate dipped Halloween mummy cookies

Can you believe Halloween is just days away? Eek! For any of you looking for last minute treats to make as a neighbor gift, Halloween party or a spooky just because, these chocolate dipped mummy cookies were a huge hit with our littles and are very mummy… oops, I mean YUMMY! ;)Of course we have our children wash up before they craft, (or help us bake in this case,) but they are children after all and well, after activities with my children, the surface is now not as clean as I like it to be. To be completely honest, kids are just kind of grubby; am I right? Haha! Enter Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes. I use these on almost any surface because I know it will stop those dirty little germs right in their tracks. Not to mention it’s almost cold and flu season so I wipe down my phone case, tech pad and TV remote at least once a day, (it’s a good thing the wipes come in a 3-pack! Ha!) The wipes were also a perfect clean up after our white chocolate dipped mummy cookies!Cute chocolate dipped mummy cookies #halloween #treats If you’re a nutter butter fan (like Kelli) or an M&M’s fan (like me!) then you may already have half of the ingredients for this easy spooky Halloween treat on hand. If not, here’s what you’ll need:

  • Package of nutter butter cookies
  • White melting chocolate (or white chocolate chips)
  • Mini M&M’s (or edible candy eyeballs)
  • Skewer
  • Clear gift baggies
  • Bakers twine or ribbon in Halloween hues

Cute tutorial to make nutter butter mummy cookies #Halloween

  1. Follow melting chocolate instructions.
  2. While chocolate is still warm, dip entire nutty buddy and set on flat surface.
  3. Immediately drop 2 mini M&M’s onto the top of each cookie to make “eyes”.
  4. Using a skewer, (this is where the littles take over and make a mess!) fling warm chocolate across cookies… make sure to add some chocolate across part of the eyes so they appear to be covered like a mummy. 😉
  5. Let dry and slowly peel off of surface.

Pretty easy, right? Making-cute-mummy-Halloween-cookies

Lolly Jane loves Clorox wipes!

Before and after hosting festive parties and holiday guests this season (think of cute little trick-or-treaters dirty hands!), remember to disinfect other germ hot spots like doorknobs, light switches, faucets and plastic toys. Using an EPA-registered disinfectant like Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes, which helps reduce the spread of cold and flu viruses. We live in cold country now (northern AZ) my poor kiddo’s are sure to get a runny nose any day now! To help put a stop to the spread of germs this holiday season, be sure to get vaccinated, wash your hands frequently with warm water with soap for at least 20 seconds, (we sing the ABC’s at our house while washing up), do the elbow cough, and follow other good health guidelines. Fingers crossed we can stop those gross cooties, (as my 3-year old calls them.) Lolly Janers use Clorox wipes

Not only does it disinfect but seriously, check out that shine on my craft table! Woop! So tell us, how do YOU stay healthy during the holidays? Leave a comment telling us and you will be entered to win a $100 VISA gift card!
