Chocolate dipped Halloween mummy cookies
- Package of nutter butter cookies
- White melting chocolate (or white chocolate chips)
- Mini M&M’s (or edible candy eyeballs)
- Skewer
- Clear gift baggies
- Bakers twine or ribbon in Halloween hues
- Follow melting chocolate instructions.
- While chocolate is still warm, dip entire nutty buddy and set on flat surface.
- Immediately drop 2 mini M&M’s onto the top of each cookie to make “eyes”.
- Using a skewer, (this is where the littles take over and make a mess!) fling warm chocolate across cookies… make sure to add some chocolate across part of the eyes so they appear to be covered like a mummy. 😉
- Let dry and slowly peel off of surface.
Pretty easy, right?
Making these were a cinch and the kids loved to help… and sample! 😉
To dress these mummies up, simply pop a paper straw into the cookie base, place them into a clear treat bag then tie with bakers twine or ribbon. Viola! A quick and easy Halloween party favor. We dare you to give these spooky Halloween treats away to other mummy friends of yours! LOL. 😉 Seriously cute!
You know what’s NOT cute, though? The crusty mess left from dried chocolate!
Before and after hosting festive parties and holiday guests this season (think of cute little trick-or-treaters dirty hands!), remember to disinfect other germ hot spots like doorknobs, light switches, faucets and plastic toys. Using an EPA-registered disinfectant like Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes, which helps reduce the spread of cold and flu viruses. We live in cold country now (northern AZ) my poor kiddo’s are sure to get a runny nose any day now! To help put a stop to the spread of germs this holiday season, be sure to get vaccinated, wash your hands frequently with warm water with soap for at least 20 seconds, (we sing the ABC’s at our house while washing up), do the elbow cough, and follow other good health guidelines. Fingers crossed we can stop those gross cooties, (as my 3-year old calls them.)
Not only does it disinfect but seriously, check out that shine on my craft table! Woop! So tell us, how do YOU stay healthy during the holidays? Leave a comment telling us and you will be entered to win a $100 VISA gift card!

I don’t deprive myself. I try to eat less and MORE healthy on days that I know I am not going to be socializing/eating out/partying. Then, when fun times come around, I don’t have to feel guilty for pigging out on all the goodies! LOL

I stay healthy by going the other way when I hear coughing people! Just kidding. I always make sure when I get in the car after I shop to use that Germ-X and I think that’s about it! I keep my house clean so no worries there.
Haha! I want to run when I hear coughing, too! 😉

We wash our hands frequently, sanitize carts before touching and always use paper towels to touch door knobs in public places. I also sanitize my children’s hands before eating or touching their faces when out.
Always keep Purell and Clorox wipes in the car and wash your hands with soap when coming from from school/work immediately.
We wash our hands every time we come inside. That really helps keep germs at bay.

I stay healthy during the holidays by taking my vitamins and keeping LOTS of hand sanitizer around. 🙂
always cough into your elbow and wash my hands a hundred times a day:)
We take Emergen-C and we have hand sanitizer in every car so that when we get in from stores, we immediately put it on. We also are avid hand washers. I use the Clorox wipes to wipe down all the door knobs and light switches in our house every week.
Forget to say the mummy cookies are super cute!!!
We believe in taking vitamins, eating healthy and always using disinfectant wipes and cleaning, especially in public. The germs are everywhere and I am proud to say that yes! I wipe the handle even on the grocery cart! These days, things are tighter and I cannot afford to miss work!
To stay healthy during the holidays I exercise and take emergen-c and try to sleep more than 4 hours a night =)
I focus on eating uber healthy foods at home. Then if I indulge somewhere else, the food isn’t in my house for the next week to tempt me!
Good plan, Loretta! I need to stop bringing the junk in my house! LOL
We are huge hand washers and we also use vinegar and water in a spray bottle to spritz door knobs, counter tops, phones, and anything where germs can live to keep things clean around here!

very cute cookies, love it when the little can help make treats. Keep up our good sleep habits so we don’t get run down and catch a cold or the flu. We tend to over eat a bit during the holidays so we stay healthy during the busy holiday season by getting outdoors when the weather is nice to burn off those extra calories and stress.

These are the cutest cookies… EVER! Love the great giveaway, too.
We are constantly washing our hands. I even tell my little one that they need to actually use the soap and wash them for real… or they have to make it down to (His favorite) dr and get an anti-sick shot. (Is that just terrible?! But it works!) I also wipe every down… all the time!
Keeping well involves putting essential oils here, there, and everywhere. They seem to help with most everything that comes up in our home.
My husband and I drink a lot of emergen-c or take some other form of multivitamin, and we stay away from processed and greasy foods as much as possible during the fall to keep our bodies feeling their best so they can fight off extra germs.
