Happy Spring Art |with free printable
You know that saying, “March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb”? well, this year, March’s been as quiet as a lamb for us in Utah! All my bulbs have bloomed and it’s perfect running weather! I don’t think I’ve ever had a warmer winter in the 10 years I’ve lived here! Crazy!
I know some of you experienced a blizzardy February and March so here’s a fun art project that will bring the flowers and spring from my house to yours!
I have this great big frame that I made for my advent calendar at Christmastime that is gorgeous!
I have tried to reuse it {so I don’t have to build another one} for the different seasons. Like for Valentine’s Day:
I thought a big framed floral piece would be the perfect solution to both bringing nature inside and getting good use out of Christmas decorations! I’m in love with how cheery it looks AND didn’t even have to buy anything!
The floral is actually wrapping paper from the $1 spot at Target {similar here} that I grabbed months ago since it was soo pretty. I simply set it in the frame and cut around the edges with scissors and adhered to the frame with double -sided tape. {If you don’t already have an existing frame, you can see how to build a big simple frame like this here.}
Then I created “Happy Spring” in Photoshop and cut “happy spring” out of yellow vinyl from Expressions Vinyl {my favorite vinyl source!} on my Cricut Explore. If you don’t want to create your own you can download the file HERE.
Open in Cricut Design Space > select upload image > select simple > erase white until just script is showing > name and save > insert image > size image > unflatten > select cut > GO!
I also had all this extra lace from Eliza’s Frozen Fourth birthday celebration that I strung on some ribbon for a pretty lace garland.
Want a pretty printable instead? Here’s “happy spring” floral printable for you to download and frame.
A big thanks to cute Carissa for being here! Love the art!
Today’s post was brought to you by a fab new company that we fully support… partially because we are grossed out by how unsanitary germs are in public places but also because we know the founders, who have an incredible story, and are seriously amazing. Germavoid just launched their first product called the Clean Touch and we absolutely LOVE it! It is the FIRST and ONLY product on the market that gives you the freedom to touch public surfaces without touching all the germs. From door handles and toilets, to buttons on soda fountains, ATM’s, elevators, and so on. It attaches right to your keys so it goes wherever you go and it’s quick, easy, and discreet to use! Pre-orders start today so hurry over to their Kickstarter page to get your own Clean Touch for a discounted price. Make sure to tell your friends about it to help kickstart the new Germavoid generation! 😉
So pretty! Genius to use wrapping paper as the background. Would love to know the font that you used for the Happy Spring. It’s exact what I have been looking for!

Hi Peggy, all fixed! Thanks a bunch! 😀
I love how bright and cheerful this is! Whenever spring rolls around, I get the urge to redecorate with fun colors like this.
Thanks, Loretta! We love it too! (:
That looks really good!! Pretty!
