Apothocary jars and Valentines Day plaque

Holiday· Valentines Day· Wood Craft

2 Feb
We’ve been getting lots of questions about our Apothocary jars and Valentines Day plaque so we’re sharin’ the joy!
We first saw these sweet jars on Shanty‘s site and fell head-over-heels in L♥VE and have since been altering them & using them for every.single.holiday.  We also made this heart plaque as a spin off of their joy plaques.   A couple things we did differently were adding another circle base under the jar for added security.  We also screwed our finials into the jar lid so it wouldn’t pop off.  Don’t get us wrong, we love Gorilla Glue as much as the next DIY’er but we have lil hands constantly pulling those lids off to get to the goods  (:
Note: The filler hearts in the white jar are 10 for $1 at Dollar Tree = smokin deal!
{They come with sticks on them so you’ll have to pull them off}
♥ ♥♥ ♥ ♥
Heart Plaque D*I*Y:
Supplies:
♥6″ candlestick
♥5″x5″ pine wood block
♥3″ circle base
 ♥$0.59/heart {Michael’s}
♥2 paint colors
♥painters tape
♥finial
♥glue
♥glitter
Directions:
♥Paint finial, wood block, candlestick & circle RED.
♥Paint heart SILVER.
♥After heart is dry, glitter it.
♥Using Gorilla Glue, glue circle to candlestick, candle stick to wood, wood to finial.
♥Using painters tape, tape it all together & allow 12-24 hours dry time.
♥When dry, hot glue heart to wood block then EnJoY!
♥Think of the possibilities of holidays you can decorate using these fun jars & plaques.
♥Be sure to follow those cute Shanty gals for more ideas! (:

    I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it's rare to see a nice blog like this one these days.. 🙂
