Rice Krispie Caramel Marshmallows
Heaven help me, these babies are trouble. How can you say no to an ooey gooey marshmallow covered in a rich creamy caramel and then rolled in rice krispies?
Even the strictest calorie counter can’t resist them!
Curiosity got the best of me when I was making a batch of these lovelies and I had to try a few different variations. I rolled some marshmallows in chocolate rice krispies and some in chopped peanuts. Oh man were they amazing. I also think it would be really good to drizzle chocolate over the top of the marshmallows. The possibilities are endless with this recipe.
So let your family join in the fun and see who can come up with the tastiest combination!

My Walmart substituted butterscotch chips for the caramel. Has anyone tried this?
I have been making these for years. One time I didn’t have rice krispies so I tried corn flakes. Everyone likes them made with corn flakes better.
Ooooh, Karen! That sounds yummy, adding cornflakes to my try list! Thank you!! 🙂
How many does this recipe make, approximately?
It makes approx 40. Thanks, Jenell!
Chop sticks work better than toothpicks.
Awesome tip, thank you for sharing!! 🙂
Hi! Do you think they can be frozen? Would that change the texture of the Rice Krispies?
We’ve yet to freeze them, let us know how it turns out 🙂
My great grandmother used to make these and she ALWAYS froze them, they do not change the texture at all it actually makes them better!
Thank you for the tip! I love being able to freeze desserts so I can have them any time I want 😉
I freeze mine and they stay deliciously crispy!
Ahhh thank you, Caroline, good to know!! 🙂
My aunt freezes them and they are great
Good to know, thanks, Angela 🙂

What can I use instead? brown sugar?
Hi John!
Looks like you can use regular caramels to substitute; here is an article w/ the ratios. Thanks for popping by! (:
