Living Room on a Budget

We’ve talked a lot about our older sister, Sandee on our blog. She’s our unpaid manager

Today we thought it would be fun to show off her darling living room she created on the cheap. It really doesn’t take a lot of money to create a cute family room on a small budget.

Want to hear her frugal secrets?
Black frames: Free! Sandee’s father-in-law gave her floor molding and her hubby constructed them to Costco’s basic poster size for the pics. Final frame size was 20×24, nice!
Couch: Ikea = affordable: under $1000 for a sectional, not too shabby.

Pillows: Recycled pillows form. Chevron fabric from here, quatrefoil fabric from Walmart.
Coffee table: Side of the road dumpster find. Fresh coat of paint brought it new life!
Lamps: Hand-me-downs from her mother-in-law.
Board & batten: Cost of wood/caulk/paint + elbow grease created a shelf for the molding turned picture frames.
