It’s me again! Jes from My DIY Envy sharing this cute and easy to make Halloween decor idea. I love Fall. I don’t think it’s a secret either. I have very little in the terms of holiday decor except for Halloween and Thanksgiving. This Googly Eye Halloween Soap Dispenser was easy to make and cost less than $5. Talk about an easy gift idea!
I try to make Halloween enjoyable for everyone in the family. I don’t want it to be dark and spooky; I want it to be fun. Our favorite year was the year we dressed up as different airplanes from the movie Planes. It was a lot of work but my oldest played in those airplane boxes until they fell apart.
My kids loved playing with the packages of googly eyes I picked up at The Dollar Tree. Maybe we will make some more googly eyed crafts this year. Everything for this projects was picked up at The Dollar Tree except for the hot glue gun and glue (I already had).
What you will need:
- 2 packages of googly eyes
- 1 soap dispenser
- hot glue gun
- hot glue sticks
I love that the googly eyes came in a variety pack of different sizes and colors but it would still be great with other kinds of googly eyes. What ever you can find or have on hand!
At first I was going to cover the entire soap dispenser with googly eyes but I ended up going with a patch of them on each side. I love that this dispenser looks like a painted mason jar!
How to Make a Googly Eye Halloween Soap Dispenser:
Decide how many you want on each side. Or if you picked out a round one, decide if you want the eyes to go all the way around the soap dispenser. Next, place a little glue on a googly eye – don’t put on too much or it will ooze out or won’t lay flat on the surface. Place each eye. I chose to place a couple of the large eyes first and then filled in the area with the smaller eyes.
