interchangeable bunting plaque

As promised, here’s our how-to when creating your own
Welcome Bunting Board aka the interchangeable bunting plaque:
It’s a fun, versatile project that can sit on your front porch or entryway year-round.  It would be super cute with different holiday fabrics or scrapbook paper, too 🙂

Supplies:
  • 12″ x 12″ wood board [we used pine]
  • (4) 11 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon in coordinating colors + (4) 16″ grosgrain ribbon
  • (4) 10″ x 3″ coordinating seasonal fabrics
  • 9 1/2″ x 4″ WELCOME vinyl lettering sticker [available for purchase in our shop]
  • (4) mini clothespins
  • Card stock triangle pattern: 2″ wide x 3″ tall
  • Acrylic cream paint + foam paint brush
  • Hot glue + Glue gun
Directions:

1. Router wood, lightly sand rough edges.
2. Paint wood cream.
3. Cut 8 triangles from each fabric.
4. Apply vinyl lettering centered along bottom of board.
5. Glue 3 triangles along 11″ ribbon; hot glue the remaining 5 triangles on 16″ ribbon.
6. Glue clothespins in the upper right hand corner, 4″ in from left to right, in upper right hand corner and 2 1/2″ down on right side of board, {see final pic for visual.}
7. Hang 16″ ribbon on the 1st & 3rd clothespins and 11″ ribbon on the 2nd & 4th clothespins:

That’s it!

Now just add a sawtooth hanger on the back or display on an easel.  Enjoy! 🙂
