Easy DIY LEGO storage

Nearly 3 months ago (insert cry face here at how FAST time is flyiiiing!) my husband and I welcomed a sweet little bundle of joy… she was healthy but small at just 6 pounds. At her one month check up with her pediatrician her growth had not increased as much as with her older brothers so her doctor recommended supplementing my mothers milk with baby formula. This post contains sponsored content but with a little DIY twist on the end, Lolly Jane style. 😉

My sister in law had always raved about quickly her own small daughter filled out on the “Sam’s Club formula” so I gave it a go and I am glad I did! After purchasing the Sam’s Clubs Member’s Mark® Advantage® Infant Formula and using it just in the past few weeks our little peanut has went up a full diaper size and even sprouted some darling baby chub… which, I admit, is irresistibly kissable!

Because Member’s Mark Advantage 1 is designed to be more like breast milk and provides complete nutrition for baby’s first year, it was my top pick of baby formula. She still nurses but now I know how much milk she is receiving and I do enjoy that she can bond with whomever is holding her bottle, usually her daddy or two big brothers.

No, our 11 week old baby is not holding her bottle yet but she is already rolling over, looking around with her head up high during tummy time and went from the 5th percentile in growth to 20th! Sam’s Clubs Member’s Mark Advantage Infant Formula has proven to support growth and development across its studies and in our home as well. We are so happy our happy little miss is right where she should be… and enjoying each yummy bottle along the way!

Another big plus for this formula is that I don’t need to cut out or remember to bring (or dig around my diaper bag to find) coupons because Member’s Mark Infant Formula provides complete nutrition for babies at almost half the cost of other brands; I would call that a win-win! Member’s Mark Advantage Infant Formula has an unbeatable price…. not only does this contained make (87) 4 fl. oz. bottles in just one tub, it can double as a cool LEGO storage container with just a few DIY steps after the formula is gone!

Because really, what do you do with your formula container after it’s empty? I’ve recycled mine in the past but this time I decided to make it into something FUN!

To get started you’ll just need LEGO colored paint (yellow, of course) and a black permanent marker.

There are really just two easy steps to making your own LEGO storage:

  1. Spray the container on all 4 sides and on inside.
  2. Once COMPLETELY dry (about 4 hours+) sketch your favorite LEGO expression onto the container!

Edited (after playtime) to add: I would recommend brushing or spraying a light coat of decoupage or sealer over the face to avoid it scratching off. 😉

Now you can fill it with all those little LEGO pieces and snap it shut to avoid stepping on them and scaring the baby when you shriek in pain… I mean, hypothetically speaking, of course. 😉
