What you may not know is that we have 3 equally amazing, talented sisters who are our best friends. Having sisters is better than having a best friend. Best friends get mad at each other sometimes and may not talk for days. Sisters have no excuse to stay mad at each other because they’re forced to see each other at family events … at least if you’re our mom who makes you get along, LOL!
[Flashback of us from the 80's!]
[Current shot, Kelli on the left, Kristi on the right]
Kelli had the chance to pre-screen a new Disney movie, Tinker Bell’s “Secret of the Wings”. She totally cried! You would as well; it’s about sisters who never knew the other existed and when they were reunited, they were forbidden to see each other. What?! How unfortunate, right? Don’t worry, it’s a Disney movie; it has a happy ending (;
Want to hear some behind-the-scenes secrets? A twin-study expert was brought in for this movie (Why didn’t they just ask us??) With the help of this expert’s tales of twins reuniting, the first time Tinker Bell and her sis, Periwinkle met was actually very powerful. As a viewer and a twin myself, I was crying. And not just teary-eyed, but tears streaming down my face crying. (My husband was rolling his eyes.)
Speaking of Periwinkle, isn’t she too adorable? She’s an edgier version of Tink for sure … that would be thanks to her hair stylist, Ken Paves. Yes, THE world renowned celebrity hairstylist, Ken Paves! He hand-dyed different wigs in his bathroom at home until he got it just right. Love those cute sisters in this movie.
Sisters are not only good friends to have, they’re good to blog with. The main reason we chose to start a blog together is because we get along so well. We have similar interests and styles but when it comes down to it, we can read each other and work details out together without hurt feelings. We noticed more and more sister blogs are popping up around the web as well, here are some we know personally and love:
Eighteen25 . Shanty 2 Chic . My Sisters Suitcase . The Letter 4 . Junk in their Trunk
It’s fun to share successes with each other. It’s fun to know the same friends. It’s fun to receive offers and share in the excitement. And it’s especially convenient to bounce ideas off of each other and create together. Another bonus is you can sweet talk to other one into taking over your load if you’re too busy that day as well (;
Sisters are loyal. I remember being mad at my dear twin in high school but as soon as we’d get to school and a non-family member had any kind of dispute with her, our at-home feelings were gone and I was her first line of defense! Isn’t that ironic? That’s family. There truly is no better friend than a sister.
So tell us, dear friends, what does sisterhood mean to YOU??

Sisterhood to me, means being by each other no matter what, getting over the bad and sharing memories and moments together. I have 3 girls and I hope their bond is strong!

I had all brothers growing up. I wanted a sister so bad. I used to ask Santa every single year for one. Well, he never delivered and here I am a mom with a little girl who also only has brothers. I hope that my daughter and I will have a relationship that is as close as sisters. She is super girlie which I love. Tinkerbell is her favorite. One of her first words was “fairies.” She is my best buddy now and if I have any say in it, she always will be. I may never experience sisterhood, but I have something just as good.

I just had to say that I have that same curly rocking chair {and love my sister dearly!} Our dad passed away last fall and I’m selling his condo (furnished because my sister lives far away, and I don’t need the furniture) and one of the few pieces of furniture I’m keeping is that chair!

Sisterhood, to me, means a bond that can never be broken between two women. Whether you are related by family, or friends, sisterhood can occur between any women.

Sisterhood is an amazing thing, and the beauty of it is that you don’t have to be “real” sisters to share this amazing bond. I am fortunate enough to have two amazing sisters, and a few close friends that are also my sister.

My daughter would be so happy to get this movie! To me, sisterhood means you have someone to talk to whenever you need it!

Sisters are lifetime friends. They share tears of laughter, joy, and sorrow.

As I do not have my own sister, growing up I didn’t realize what I was missing. But watching my daughters interact with eachother, I think sisterhood knowing that you have your bestfriend, sidekick, and biggest cheerleader as part of your forever family. You grow together, learn together, share together, fight eachother, and always make up and laugh together.

I grew up with a sister and I am so glad I did, I also had a half brother. It’s definitely great having someone who lives the same life you do growing up and to always get to play with someone, never being lonely and just having a great bond. My sister and I don’t always see eye to eye but we have each other’s backs and will always stand up for one another. Sisterhood is simple- protect her as you would protect yourself. I am my sister’s keeper.

I have five sisters (& 3 brothers) and I am the baby of the family. Sisterhood is my everything. We are so close and I am lucky to be the youngest because I feel I am spoiled by my sisters. We all live in the same town and it’s a bond…a friendship…a love that is not like any other.

Sisters rock! It is very fun to share successes with sisters, but sisterhood also gives the best support when things are less than stellar!

I, too, blog with my sister. We’ve been separated by many miles for most of our lives, but we can still chat like we’re in the same room, strengthen each other when we’re down, and share the ups and downs of parenthood together. I love my sister! Thanks for the giveaway.

I have two sisters, and I consider them my best friends! I also feel this way about my sister in laws! With three girls, I love watching how they interact as sisters; I can already tell they are going to be the best of friends as well!

My two daughters are a great example of sisterhood. Even though they are totally different in looks, attitudes and lifestyle they understand each other completely.

Sisterhood is the unconditional love and support you are given by your closest friends or relatives. I do not have sisters, but have always called my 2 cousins my sisters! We are always there for each other no matter what!

Well its no secret that Im close to my two sisters. Youve seen it first hand. We support eachother in everything we do! We build eachother up, we laugh at and with eachother, we get mad at eachother and we forget about why we got mad. We are alike in many ways and so different in other ways. No doubt in my mind my sisters are there when I need them! They are my biggest allies!
