My in-laws just flew into town so we’ve been in a mad rush to finish my oldest daughters bedroom for them to take over. Main goal: Finish the bed. {I swear it took longer for our 8 year old to clean her bedroom than to create the bed! Sheesh!}
We finished in the knick of time and my 8 year old is loving her new robin egg blue sleigh bed:

We snagged the headboard & footboard on Craig’s for $40. It was so cheap because it didn’t include frame rails. Arg! Luckily I married my very own Handy Manny so he whipped something up until it was nice, sturdy & functional:

The total cost for the headboard & footboard, wood to create the frame, paint and linens was around $90. {We had the bottom white fitted sheet on hand and found the duvet cover/turquoise sheets at Target this week, both on sale- score!}
Overall, not a shabby price for a large queen sleigh bed:
PS: Does anyone else freak out when the in-laws are in town and go into Cinderella mode? lol
