I love personalizing my space. And I love bright cheery colors. I think it’s apparent I’m sorta of obsessed with mustard and aqua…I try to stay away from these colors but painted my first aqua patio set six years ago and have been obsessed ever since! I had this frame left over from this night and knew I wanted to combine it with my Joss & Main knockoff and with my leftover sign from this sale. Here’s what I came up with, a monogram gallery wall in the playroom.
The playroom, you ask?? Well, I want it to match the rest of the house so I ditched the primary colors and little kid decor but decorated in a way that still makes my kids feel included. To do this I collected letters of each of my family members 1st names from all over (craft store, thrift store and yard sales) and paired them with the frame + signs which are my style. Once I had all of my pieces to create a gallery wall, I laid them out on the floor to determine how they would display together….
…then simply hung them! My littles had a fun surprise after school finding the letter that was “theirs” and showing it to their siblings. Didn’t end up using the M for our last name, oh well!

Big difference! Check out the ombre wall I painted here and also the tut for the giant chalkboard here. My kiddos have their own space on the opposite side of this wall that is filled with their cute art work and sweet handprints on canvas:
This room was once an awkward room in the house, unused and unloved, haha. After we tore down a wall and opened it up, I love how it’s coming together. Hopefully I’ll be completely done with it soon!
We shared this wall with our bestie Kristen Duke here, and shared more of my living room last year with KD here! Love her Decorating with Pictures series going on NOW! Head on over for even more inspiration all month long!
