Today’s post is brought to you by:
My husband’s birthday is today. That’s right, 2 days before mine and 13 days before Christmas. So I’m always on the hunt for manly gadgets. I actually started a Pinterest Board called Smart Gifts for the Men in your Life. Here’s a screenshot of the fun things I think my hunk would like:
One thing I just introduced him to was Fellowes awesome paper shredder! We had a used one from a garage sale that just clunked out on us and since my hubby works for the city, he has random private paperwork he needs shredded constantly. What an amazing gift it was to received the Fellowes 63Cb shredder! Hubby was excited! And I was excited since I can use it for gift packaging, yes you heard me right…gift packaging!
Since it’s my hub’s bday today (on 12-12-12, how cool!) I thought I’d give him some donuts as breakfast in place of a cake (he works night, boo!) so the kids could sing to him before they left for school.
To make some gift packing filler, I simply shredded cute Christmas themed scrapbook paper, 2 sheets was plenty to fill up this bakers box. (Note: I bought the donuts that came with the bakers box, I’m not promoting theft from Walmart for the record, lol)
Top with a tag from our good friend Kristy/Diary of Dave’s Wife and you’re all set! Our fav thing about the shredder is it’s actually a cross shredder. It doesn’t just shred in long lines, it shreds then cross shreds so it’s in small rectangles for extra safety of your documents!
Other great features include:
- Jam Blocker™ blocks jams before they start
- SafeSense® Technology stops shredding when hands touch the paper opening
- Energy Savings System provides optimal energy efficiency 100% of the time – in use and out of use
- Shreds 10 sheets per pass into 5/32”x 2” cross-cut particles (Security Level P-3)
- Shreds for up to 8 minutes before a 20 minute cool down period is needed
- 5 gallon pull-out bin
- 18.13”H x 15.19”W x 10.88”D
- 1 year product warranty and 5 year cutter warranty
I love this product! Want to win one for YOU!? Ohkay!! One lucky winner will be sent this power shredder, valued at $150!!

Cool! Thanks for the ideas! In my experience, it’s impossible to shop for my husband. He never gives me any feedback. Whenever it’s my birthday, I have a list a mile long, but for his birthday, he’s just like “get me whatever..” Ugh.
