We gift our kids 2 items for Christmas: one from Santa and one from Mom and Dad. Of course there is a full stocking with trinkets and treats and by the time they get presents from each grandparent and participate on cousin exchanges on both sides, they are full of generous gifts. We do this because we try to focus on the things they really would enjoy versus getting gifts just to get them. My 6 year old daughter is often by my side helping in the kitchen so this gift idea Easy Bake Oven Baking Star Edition is the perfect addition for my little baker. We tested it out with Kristi’s kids today while she was at school and it’s so darn easy to use.
It pops out the cutest little mini treats! Laney’s been watching Nickelodeon’s “Talia in the Kitchen” so she is super inspired to create her own kitchen magic! Talia is able to relate to kids in the kitchen and teach them they too can create magical treats. The best part of making treats is sharing with friends, isn’t that the true magic?
The oven comes with a baking pan, pan tool, chocolate brownie mix, vanilla frosting mix, rainbow sugar crystals, and instructions to make the cookies we made today. It also works with the many refills (sold separately). Since it is electric, be sure to assist your little chef. We mixed the brownie mix together and I helped roll the balls then the kids placed them on the pan.
I placed the pan into the oven and the little ones used the spatula to push it in until the metal door inside shuts and bakes it. 9 minutes later the cutest mini cookies are ready!
The Baking Star Edition comes with the brownie mix, frosting and sprinkles. We just added a 1.25 teaspoons of water to make the right amount of frosting, put it in a baggie and swirled it onto the cookies.
The kids went crazy with colorful sprinkles, so cute.
I can’t wait for my own daughter to whip up her baked goods in this easy to use oven. It would be a great party idea too, let the kids each make their own mix to minic the cute Nickelodeon show, Talia in the Kitchen we talked about earlier. You can also play games on the Be A Baking Star site too! She has e pretty cute ideas that will resonate well with your little ones. What are some of your kid’s favorite recipes to help you make?
