Gallery Photo Wall

Sandee’s house is back today, we’re showing off her photo gallery wall.  I took this pics while babysitting for her kiddos ;)  Sandee didn’t spend a lot of money on this project, she simply gathered up frames from the past and used what she had on hand.

The trick is using the same color on each frame, she chose cream with a slight distress for her frames.  She spray painted each frame then sanded the edges.  [Her go-to spray paint is Rustoleum 'Heirloom White']

In these “during” pictures, you can see she placed a piece of tape in-between the frames to create a straight line for accuracy.

Then she filled the frames with recent family photos taken by this talented chick.  She also wanted a monogram for her last name so she toyed with different ideas to use up that last frame.

Sandee is sooo picky!  She put chevron fabric behind the frame with a vinyl P and didn’t like it, she tried scrapbook paper and didn’t like it.  She finally took advantage of my vinyl cutter, painted a piece of scrap wood white, applied the P stencil, painted the wood yellow, peeled off the stencil then distressed the yellow.

Pretty darn cute, right?  She’s super talented even though it takes her a million years to make a decision, in the end it’s always worth the wait!
So there you have it, an easy affordable way to create a personalized family gallery wall.  Thanks for letting me steal pics of your house, sister!

Oh!-I have to clarify something, if you read about Sandee’s darling chevron/yellow/grey living room post yesterday, I referenced Sandee as our “unpaid manager” in a teasing tone.  She actually reminded me that she gets free vinyl whenever she wants it, plus we always share our freebies with her so she’s paid in a different way, LOL!

Now go make a gallery wall, nothing will make you happier than to walk by those you love every day :)

stay connected and don’t miss a minute!

Ooooooh, I love it! I've been collecting frames for a gallery wall and have been trying to decide whether to paint them all to match or not. Pretty, pretty!

Really pretty gallery wall! I love the frames in the same color and the way the frames are organized – fun, but not too busy!

Sometimes an empty wall can seem daunting, but this the perfect inexpensive way to fill it up with family memories.

Really like that she uses things she has on hand, it makes everything more creative. Anyone can go buy stuff. Love the P, cause I can be picky too. Very nice.
