DIY business cards

Today we’re sharing an easy way to make your own business cards lickity split… you know, in case you are attending a huge blog conference TOMORROW! 😉  Here’s an easy tutorial for DIY business cards!

Take a looksie at our* Kelli’s business card:

*Rest assured, we have a stash for Kristi but since she is on baby watch and is unable to attend SNAP this year, we’re just showing them personalized with Kelli’s name 😉

It is kind of crazy how fast they came together but with a little luck, we made it happen 2 whole days prior to leaving, thankyouverymuch!  Kelli found a coupon at Staples, our local go-to printers, so Kristi whipped up a double-sided design in Photoshop, {yes, this is your official sneak peek to our new blog design that will go live with the WP switch here very soon!} and came up with this, keeping in mind we would be scalloping the right edge, hence the gap:

After the design was completed, we ordered our cards online at a steal of a deal.… only to find out Staples had a 7-day turnaround time.

Yikes!
Plan B: Attempt to print our own cards.

Kelli headed to Staples with the USB port containing our 2 images in tow, purchased a package of high quality non-perforated edge business card paper and met a total lifesaver the efficient copy girl who took some time to re-size and configure the design to make it fit perfectly on the specialty paper and print it on their fancy laser jet printer. The next day, we picked up a package with a little love note from our new friend…

…who was, in return, given a set of handmade button earrings by yours truly 😉

Once they were punched out,

we scalloped the front right side and rounded the remaining 2 corners with some punches from our scrapbook supplies:

We did include Kelli’s cell on there but for world wide privacy, removed it from these images 😉  Anyway, it was a super easy process and went really quick.

The result is a simple business card that is chock full of our personality:

Oh, and we can’t forget to show the cute cute cute biz card holder Kelli’s sweet hotel roomie, Kristy, made:

Of course ours is the bottom one… it matches our cards perfectly.  Thanks again, Kristy!
We’d love to know if you ordered cards or made your own?

PS: Can you all believe SNAP is tomorrow?!  Please don’t be shy about introducing yourself to Kelli; she would love to get to know you… and hand you her card 😉

XOXO
