I’m so in love with these crib mattress bulletin board podgeable clips! They’re the perfect addition to my crib mattress turned bulletin board that I just finished. My cool cousin gave the crib mattress to Kristi, who then moved 3 hours north and forgot it. I took advantage and snagged it, painted it a fresh cheery yellow color and put it in my craft room. And it sat there for 2 weeks, needing pretty things to fill her up! Today she is done and I’m loving her! So thrilled to have received a generous amount of goods from Plaid Crafts to get my booty in gear to complete this project!
For the clips, I used ModPodge’s newly released Acrylic Shapes. They’re amazing, you can pick them up at Michael’s and craft your heart out. Oh yah!
I love how different all the bulletin board clips are. For the tag, I layered it to create layers by using matte ModPodge to apply the lace scrapbook paper to the back of it. I then applied another layer of Podge to the adhere the top scrapbook paper quote the top of the tag. After it was dry, I tied a knot with pretty lace ribbon.
The bird is too cute! I was excited to Podge it. I used ModPodge Rub on Transfers on the top of the bird, then used Matte Podge for the underside of the bird. So easy and I love the inspirational words on it, perfect for my craft room.
The heart and key went hand in hand to me. Luckily I had a keyhole sticker in my stash that fit perfectly on the heart! Get it, you hold the key to my heart?-yes it’s cheesy but I love it anyway (; Here is the process for the key and heart, I love the Gold Glitter Dimensional Magic. Like, I’m pretty much obsessed now. I’ve never used it before and already made a ring with it that I’ll post later. It’s really like magic and my 9 year old was so excited to watch the process!
One product I fell in love with as well is the MP Antique Matte. It’s tinted a cream color so it automatically gives your project an aged feel. Genius. It went so well with MP’s Podgeable Paper flip books, it was meant to be, lol. Seriously, though, I love it and it’s exactly the look I was going for.
I don’t have the how-to on the bird clip. Somehow my camera deleted them in the trasfer? But all I did was combine the Podgeable tiles to the Podgeable Papers and used the Anitque Matte. Love the final look.
This was such an easy project to fulfill, my favorite kind. Here are all my completed clips. I have 1 crown left in my pack and know exactly what I’m going to do with it, it’ll be in my daughter’s room and will be adorable. Excited.
Here are all my bulletin board clips with vintage clothespins from my Nana’s house who recently passed away. They’re just the perfect weathered look I was aiming for. I just hot glued them to the backs and they’re holding nice and stron.
I am so excited to get my craft room organized and decorated in a way that’s inspiring! Right now it’s a big ol mess and when I have a little more time (realistically, as soon as the kiddos are back in school) I’ll finish it up.
Until then, I love this new view from my office chair. It’s so bright and warm, I love it.
Maybe I’ll set a goal to get my craft room done by my birthday…which is still 6 months away, lol!
