Chippy Dresser Makeover

After 10 years of marriage, I finally have a decent dresser!  And man are me and the hubs both enjoying this Chippy Dresser Makeover!

Do you like it??
If you’re a regular FB fan of ours, you may have remembered an entertaining convo we had asking how much you’d pay for this dresser:

Lol, most of you said not more than $50!  I’m laughing because this dresser would NEVER have crossed my mind BEFORE I came across this baby:

I learned SO MUCH about finishing furniture from this e-book.  I thought I knew a lot as I taught myself along the way, you know, just by being brave enough to try new things.  I quickly realized, though, that I had much, much more to learn.  Basically, their catch phrase is: “This is the book we wish we had before we started finishing furniture.”  Definitely worth the money… in my opinion (;

Now that I had an idea of how to really redo this piece the right way, it was fun to transform it:
Here she is residing in my master bedroom:

Just take a look at that chippy-ness!

And the pulls!
Oh, the pulls… love them.

I think the top is my favorite, though (:

  Consider this a sneak peek of this in-progress room.
I know, I know… no judging… it’s a WORK-in-progress, remember?  I’ve gotten as far as painting but hope to have it finished this month in honor of my 10 year

  • Ras - very generous but you’d think they’d ask your opoinin first. Did you know this was happening and you didn’t say anything?We moved when I was about 8 months preggo, but the nursery was one of the first rooms done. Except the crib. We waited until after she was here to set that up because my hubby is superstitious, and she was in a bassinet at first anyway.ReplyCancel

  • Corry Heinricks - Its absolutely fabulous….. (and you’re doing good, it took 25 years of marriage to finally get a brand new mattress) which inspired a repaint of my ugly dark brown wooden bed frame.ReplyCancel
